It's often said that if you find the one thing that transforms time and magically immerses you into another world, you've found your calling.
For me, that moment of beginning a painting—when I face a big, white, blank canvas—is one of the most satisfying activities I know. From there, the repeated process of laying the paint on the surface, observing, then responding to it, continues to intrigue me.
Together with the paint, brushes and the surface, a transformation takes place both within myself and on the canvas.
